Pitch (It is on a powerpoint but this is the write up) Name: Rebel. I have chosen this name as it is a current affairs magazine, but the front cover always focuses on someone who is rebelling against society norms or the government. For example XR or madison going against the patriarchy. I believe that these people are the ones who will create change, which is important and needed. Media Language I will use the main image to be very powerful each time to show the theme of rebellion, i will do this by using lights, props, costumes,camera angles and poses amongst other things. The font will be bold and modern as it appeals to a younger audience. The choice of words will be modern and not extremely formal as it is for a younger audience. Audience The audience is for 16-25 year old people who want to be inspired, the aim of the magazine is to inspire them to create change about something they are passionate about. I will do this by empowering them by showing them...

This magazine is about feminism. I want it to appeal to teenage girls as it is about their life and the aim is to make them feel empowered. I want to use this bright colours to attract the eye, i want to use pink especially as it is seen as the stereotypical girls colour but i want to make it edgy and different, not like the stereotype of a delicate girl, i want to make it powerful. I want my model in a bold suit as it defies the typical gender boundaries and i want her to be wearing big boots and kicking the camera to represent her stomping on the patriarchy.

Camera Framing and Photography Research I want to do a worms eye view for the feminist front cover of the magazine and take the picture under the boot of the model so it looks like she is kicking the camera and it is a very low angle.  For example, this image, however the focus would be on her rather than the boot. It is going to represent how she is powerful and stomping on the patriarchy. I like this front cover as the angle and close up makes her look quite masculine which goes against the gender stereotypes. I want to do a long shot for my magazine about extinction rebellion as this means everyone can fit in the image which shows how many people are involved and how important the issue is. My front cover image will be sort of like this as there will be focus on one singular person but everyone else will also be seen in the back.

Autobiography Extinction rebellion I am not doing just one person for this, my main image is a picture that i took at a strike. This is shows both genders and different ethnic backgrounds. Extinction rebellion also known as XR started in May 2018 and it's aims are making the government declare a climate emergency, make the government act to halt biodiversity loss and reduce greenhouse gases emissions to net zero by 2025 and the creation of citizens assemblies on climate and ecological justice. I have chosen to do my magazine about XR as i am part of it and i believe it is extremely important, i know a lot on this subject so i thought it would be easier for me to produce something that i know a lot about. XR are very inclusive and it is for everyone so it also shows a lot of representation for different genders, sexuality and races.  Madison Friend She will be my model.
